Wool Festival at Taos

Wool_festival_taos_3I am so excited, I will be teaching three great classes at the Wool Festival at Taos! "Lumps, Bumps and Squiggles", a two day class, and "Bulky Singles" and "Garbage Yarns", both half day classes. The Event is October 6 and 7.     These are a couple of pictures of my demo and the students in the Spinning A to Z class. This is a great class for the beginner, as it offers everything you need to know to go home and spin. We learned basic spinning and drafting with roving; discussed washing wool (not the right venue for washing a woolie), carded and combed wool for woolen, worsted and color effects; plying and finishing your yarns. At the end, for the students that wanted to give it a try, we spun silk from roving
